As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we are planning an Open Mic event on Wednesday, March 29, at 7 PM Eastern.
Sharing our stories are important parts of community and connection. The more we know about each other, the more we understand the world around us. And as women, our stories have the power to change the world, even if it is just a couple of words at a time.
We invite women to join us and share poetry and stories of the women who have shared their wisdom with us along this journey. Sharing is not mandatory, come to support those who do! Tickets are available on Event Brite here.
I’d like to thank Kathy Jo Blake - Bryant for sharing her lovely art with the Garden. Her painting of “Maw Maw's Begonias” has a poem too ~
Maw Maw loved her begonias
At the center of her porch they sat
Brightening the view for everyone
I painted them, to capture that!

May we brighten the view for everyone 🍀

The One Mind Book Club finished Home Deus by Yuval Noah Harari with many perspectives brought to the table. We touched on many topics and questions the book raises and how we might be a part of future that is quickly unfolding.
In April, we’ll begin reading Never too Late to Begin Again, by Julia Cameron. This reading will include book marks, bingo cards and even a reading tracker! Search One Mind Book Club in the Garden and join us!
To celebrate the release of The Talk, Vital Expressions and Conversations in Families of Color, The Garden is hosting a live story-telling event for the contributors to share the stories behind the stories, continuing the conversation. Read more about the April 12th event and get tickets here.
The Garden continues to expand it’s offering of free and paid spaces ranging from art to writing and so much more in between.
Browse the Garden Menu, and be sure to use the drop down arrows next to ‘more.’ This will expand the menu to the feed, making it easier to see all the circles, courses and topics. Clicking on Collections like “I am New to The Garden” will show you related spaces to help you discover the possibilities available in the Garden.
The Creative Life Journaling Practices course has been a Garden favorite since its release in 2021. This course offers prompts and questions to ponder as you explore the power of journaling. Purchase of the course includes a journal!
Danielle Martin, author of the poetic collection in Sweet Talk, Caribbean Culture created two new Cinquains during a poetry workshop hosted by Lisa Tomey-Zonneveld.

Peace on My Modest Portion of Earth by Tina Hudack on her blog, Tina Opines.
On her Prolific Pulse blog, Thoughts-Art-Things, Lisa Tomey-Zonneveld writes a week list of TTOTs, Then Things of Thankful. These are wonderful lists, each one a reflection of gratitude. After reading Lisa’s, I am inspired to start my own list. I hope you are inspired to keep a list of things you are thankful for too!

The Garden of Neuro Institute began as a seed of an idea in 2017 and has grown into a sprouting membership of nearly 1500 women since opening the Garden Gate in November 2020. As our membership increases, so too does the work and the expenses that go with creating, maintaining, and expanding this unique and special place.
Consider supporting the Garden of Neuro Institute through the link. Your contribution will help grow the Garden to the next level, where we begin to blossom.
Even the smallest monthly donations keep the lights on and the Garden growing!
